Why bother write articles if you can grab them from other blogs?

The FeedWordPress plugin is so powerful to put content on to your own blog that all you have to do is write the RSS feed links onto your site and the article will be published on your blog.

Unlike other RSS feeds, FeedWordPress writes the articles onto your own database. For those familiar with the workings of article directories, the FeedWordPress does what article marketing distributors do.

You can populate a website with articles in no time at all by simply “subscribing” to RSS feeds of other sites.

Plugin author Charles Johnson describes its work as: “FeedWordPress is an Atom/RSS aggregator for WordPress. It syndicates content from feeds that you choose into your WordPress weblog; if you syndicate several feeds then you can use WordPress’s posts database and templating engine as the back-end of an aggregation (‘planet’) website.”

The article What’s your favorite thing about the 2.7 Beta? and other articles from Techbusiness.com.au are demos of the plugin.

With the syndication plugin, the WordPress site owner has the option to publish the syndicated posts immediately, hold the posts for review, save the posts as drafts or as private posts.

I think we will try the plugin in other experimental sites.

The plugin grabs and publishes the article well except that when the permalink is clicked, the user is redirected to the article feeder. Cache-ing is another issue we have with the plugin.
